✈️ The Brief
Red Bull approached us to direct their ‘Bullseye Landing’ stunt:
Landing a plane on a helipad.
Not just any helipad – the one on top of the Burj Al Arab.
The catch?
⏱️ We had less than 8 hours to turn around the final edit after the stunt.
🔧 Pre-Production
To pull this off, we had to get clever – and plan hard.
In the weeks leading up to the event, we:
🎮 Built a full edit using simulation footage
🎥 Placed cameras virtually where they’d be on the real day
💻 Pre-built a rough cut to speed up post
🛫 Flew to Dubai and set up our own edit suite – complete with a full server inside the Burj Al Arab.
🎯 The Stunt
After a few heart-stopping attempts, Luke Czepiela pulled it off:
A perfect landing, on a helipad, hundreds of feet above Dubai.
But for us – the real challenge was just beginning.
🖥️ The Edit
As soon as the plane touched down, we:
📥 Ingested footage from 16 cameras (including 2 helicopters)
🧠 Used our pre-build to accelerate the cut
✂️ Edited the entire film at altitude, up in the Burj
📦 Delivered a fully cinematic, pulse-racing final edit…
Just 457 minutes later.
⚡ The Result
A high-stakes stunt.
A high-speed edit.
A high-impact final film – worthy of Red Bull.
This one combined precision planning, creative execution, and a bit of altitude-induced adrenaline.
Exactly the kind of madness we live for.
