📱 The Brief
Honest Mobile have been a long-standing client of ours, and following the success of their first crowdfunding video, they returned for a second round.
This time, the ambition was bigger, sharper, and more persuasive, while still working within a tight budget.The brief was to create a snappy two-minute hero film, supported by social cutdowns for Instagram and LinkedIn, designed to encourage investors to buy shares in the company.
🎬 Pre-Production
We began by analysing what performed best in the first crowdfunding film and building on those strengths. Our creative team took a draft script and refined it heavily, removing unnecessary detail and tightening the messaging to keep the story clear and investor-focused.
Once the creative was locked, we sourced locations that would add visual variety without increasing costs.
We landed on three London locations:
- A park
- A pub
- Honest Mobile’s HQ office
This approach gave the film energy and scale while keeping production efficient and lean.
🔥 The Shoot
The shoot day ran smoothly from start to finish. Honest Mobile founders Josh and Andy were confident and well rehearsed, which allowed us to move quickly and stay on schedule.
With strong performances and a clear plan, we were able to capture everything needed across all three locations in a single day.
🎞️ The Filmmaking
Crowdfunding timelines move fast, and post-production was no exception.
The final film needed to be delivered within two weeks to hit the campaign launch date.
Our VFX and animation team worked quickly to create the necessary graphic assets, supporting the narrative with clean, punchy visuals. Live-action footage and animation were brought together seamlessly, resulting in a confident and engaging film tailored for investor audiences.

The campaign was a clear success.
The final video helped Honest Mobile raise £1,078,237, ultimately overfunding the investment round.
A strong outcome delivered on a modest budget, showing how focused storytelling and smart execution can drive real commercial results.
