📱 The Brief

When most UK mobile networks were quietly increasing their prices, Lebara wanted to stand out by taking a bold stance – no stealth price hikes, no surprises.

Their message was simple: “Other networks are stealing from you.”

Our job was to turn that sentiment into a fun, socially engaging campaign that showed Lebara’s honesty and value in a creative, light-hearted way.

🎬 Pre-Production

We developed a concept built around a street game show called Spot the Theft. The idea: put members of the public to the test and see if they could identify real theft versus the “hidden” theft of mobile price increases.

📋 Designed three scenarios of escalating subtlety
🎭 Brought in a lively presenter to lead the challenge and interact with the public
💡 Scripted the flow of each encounter to feel spontaneous and entertaining
🎥 Planned flexible street setups to move fast and capture genuine reactions

The goal was to make a campaign that felt authentic, shareable, and cheeky – without ever feeling like a traditional advert.

🔥 The Shoot

Filmed in one day on the streets of London, the production was small, fast, and full of energy.

🎥 Ran a four-person crew to stay agile and capture real interactions
💨 Worked through challenging wind conditions while maintaining clean audio and steady visuals
🕵️ Captured three scenarios:
1️⃣ A bag snatch in broad daylight (the obvious theft)
2️⃣ A phone stolen from a table under a map (the sneaky theft)
3️⃣ A letter revealing hidden contract price rises (the “legal” theft)
💰 When participants spotted all three, they won a cash prize on the spot – creating natural, positive reactions that drove the message home.

We focused on creating a fun, candid, and high-energy piece of branded entertainment.

🎨 Colour grade and graphics built around Lebara’s bold, playful brand identity

The result felt real, rebellious, and refreshingly honest – perfectly aligned with Lebara’s brand voice.
