⚖️ The Brief

The Corporate Law Academy (CLA) helps university students land graduate jobs in law by connecting them with employers and resources through their online platform.

As part of their platform relaunch, they wanted a hero video that spoke directly to recent graduates – people facing confusion, rejection, and uncertainty as they tried to break into the legal world.

The goal was to make a video that felt emotional, authentic, and cinematic, breaking away from the usual corporate tone to connect with a younger audience.

🎬 Pre-Production

With limited time, a single location, and a lean crew, planning was everything.

We worked closely with CLA’s team to find the right balance between storytelling, emotion, and brand clarity.

🎭 Talent wardrobe changes used to simulate different times, moods, and environments

🔥 The Shoot

A one-day, fast-moving production in London with a five-person crew and one talent.

Despite limited resources, the team achieved a visually diverse and emotionally engaging result.

🎬 Adjusted lighting setups and camera angles to visually separate each “scene” within the same space

The combination of clever filmmaking and emotional tone elevated what could have been a simple corporate video into something truly human.

This project was all about bringing cinematic style to a corporate brief.

The end result was a video that felt aspirational yet grounded, capturing both the frustration and the hope of the graduate experience.

⚡ The Result

A heartfelt, modern brand film that helped The Corporate Law Academy reintroduce their platform with clarity and emotion. Two deliverables created – a 16:9 hero film and a 9:16 cutdown for socials.

A project that showed how even small-scale productions can deliver powerful emotional impact when storytelling and craft align. Proof that corporate content can still make you feel something.
