💰 The Brief

CHIP are a UK-based financial technology company helping people build wealth through smart savings, investing, and automated financial tools via their app.

As part of a major Crowdcube raise, CHIP needed a crowdfunding video that could clearly explain what they do, communicate trust, and excite potential investors. The video had to feel confident, modern, and accessible while cutting through a very competitive fintech crowdfunding space.

🎬 Creative Approach

The goal was to create a fast-paced, high-energy film that felt friendly and informative rather than overly corporate.

We worked closely with the CHIP team, who appeared as on-screen talent, to ensure the messaging felt authentic and founder-led. The structure focused on clearly communicating CHIP’s value proposition while maintaining momentum throughout.

Key creative decisions included:

  • Bright, even lighting to keep the tone optimistic and approachable
  • Full gimbal movement throughout to give the video a smooth, flowing feel
  • Motion graphics layered across the edit to reinforce key messages
  • Clean 2D animation of the CHIP app to ground the story in the actual product

🎥 The Shoot

The video was filmed with a lean crew of four, allowing us to move quickly and keep energy high on set.

Working with the CHIP team directly meant performances felt natural and confident, rather than scripted. The flowing gimbal work helped link scenes together seamlessly, giving the film a sense of progression and polish.

🎨 Graphics and Animation

Motion graphics played a central role in this film.

We used them to:

  • Highlight key stats and talking points
  • Keep viewer attention high
  • Add clarity to financial concepts

Alongside this, we animated sections of the CHIP app interface to clearly demonstrate how the product works in real life.

🔧 Post-Production

The entire project was delivered within three weeks, including editing, animation, sound design, and feedback rounds.

The fast turnaround required tight coordination between edit and motion, but resulted in a cohesive, high-impact film built specifically for conversion on Crowdcube.
