🎯 The Brief

We partnered once again with Compulsory Viewing on an educational project for YouTube and Google.

The brief was to create a suite of educational videos designed to help sales partners clearly demonstrate how to use YouTube and Google Ads more effectively.

These videos needed to be informative, engaging, and visually elevated, avoiding the typical flat feel of standard talking-head content.

🎬 Pre-Production

Working alongside Compulsory and an external director (Mitch Kalisa), we helped shape the creative direction early, particularly around how graphics and on-screen compositions would integrate with the live action.

To speed up approvals later in the process, we:

  • Designed graphic compositions pre-shoot
  • Defined visual language and motion approaches
  • Locked brand colour usage early
  • Planned camera angles and coverage in advance

The decision was made to build a custom set, using complementary brand colours to give the content more visual energy while remaining clean and professional.

🔥 The Shoot

The production took place across three days.

Day One

  • Studio hire
  • Full set build
  • Lighting design
  • Camera placement tests

Days Two and Three

  • Filming seven speakers
  • Two-camera setup for each speaker
  • A main wide angle and a tighter B-angle
  • Both angles shot on RED Komodo X

We brought in:

  • A stylist to align wardrobe with the set design
  • A hair and makeup artist for all speakers
  • A gaffer and spark to execute the lighting plan
  • A full video village setup so clients could view live feeds

The shoot ran smoothly, with consistent coverage and a clear visual identity across all speakers.

🎞️ The Filmmaking

Post-production focused on clarity, pace, and consistency.

The graphic-heavy approach allowed complex information to feel accessible and engaging, while the dual-camera setup gave editors flexibility to maintain visual rhythm.

⚡ The Result

A polished, professional educational series that was extremely well received by both the client and their sales teams.

The client described the videos as the gold standard for their future educational content.

A strong example of how thoughtful set design, smart graphics, and clean execution can elevate corporate education into something genuinely engaging.
